Tollohill Wood is a 2.1 kilometer loop trail located near Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
In Balmedie you will find beautiful beaches and sand dunes while the Forvie National Nature Reserve and Ythan Estuary is a good place to see seals. There are also numerous places offering refreshments along the way including Cruden Bay. Next stop is Slains Castle, widely believed to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, and the Bullers of Buchan - a 30 m deep chasm created from a collapsed sea cave. Stay a safe distance from the edge. This trail is not considered suitable for dogs.
Old Aberdeen Railroad Line to Coalford is a 12.6 kilometer lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, and road biking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
This route winds along the River Don, taking in a mix of town and nature. This trail offers a great city break taking in numerous sights along the way. Parts of this trail can get very muddy in wet weather, especially around Seaton Park, so take care at these points. Enjoy reconnecting with nature and get away from everyday modern life for a while.
